Mani Riar

Storytelling Through Handmade Art

Who is Mani Riar

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Mani Riar is a Toronto-based artist whose work is rooted in hyperrealism, emotion, and storytelling. From an early age, art was never simply an interest, it was an instinct. A constant pull to create, observe, and translate feeling into form. What began as a deep personal obsession with drawing evolved into a disciplined artistic practice shaped by patience, precision, and an uncompromising attention to detail.

Known for her hyperrealistic approach and refined hand-drawn technique, Mani creates work that strives to feel real in every sense. For her, realism is not only about visual accuracy, it is about presence. It is about creating pieces so immersive, so emotionally charged, and so alive in detail that they hold the viewer in place. Each work is created with the intention of evoking something immediate and unforgettable, drawing the eye in and making it difficult to look away.

Her practice is guided by a desire to create art that carries weight, work that feels deeply human, emotionally resonant, and lasting in its impact. Through original artworks, collectible prints, and wearable designs, Mani explores the relationship between identity, memory, legacy, and expression, creating pieces that are not only seen, but felt.

Now based in Toronto, Mani continues to build a body of work that moves between fine art and design while remaining grounded in craftsmanship and meaning. Every piece reflects her belief that art should do more than replicate an image, it should capture energy, preserve story, and create a connection strong enough to stay with the viewer long after they have looked away.
